COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Yet another delay in the Mesac Damas case. He's the Naples man charged in 2009 with slitting the throats of his wife and five kids before fleeing to Haiti.
Attorneys for Damas say they just received 1,500 pages of medical records Tuesday, not enough time for their doctor to go over them.
Three doctors in all were supposed to testify today on the mental status of Damas, but now they'll have to wait another three weeks.
The State Attorney's Office tell WINK News the medical records have been available for the defense to request, but they didn't.
The judge set the new competency hearing for Damas for June 2nd.
