FORT MYERS, Fla. - Twelve-year-old Travis Tate was diagnosed with a very aggresive cancer last year. Since that time, Travis has gone through rounds and rounds of Chemotherapy.
The mass that had developed in the young boy's chest started to shrink.
Hope grew. Travis started to dream. The child who had lost so much time being sick, wanted a chance to be a kid again.
On Monday, his dream came true.
Kim Brett of the Children's Dream Fund found out that Travis wanted a pool.
An unlikely choice, most kids want a trip to Orlando and because of medications, Travis isn't supposed to be out in the sun.
But the young boy asked for floodlights to be installed as well so he could swim at night.
His wish was granted and Travis said the moment he saw the pool he screamed, "Yippeee, I can swim!"
