FORT MYERS, Fla. - Investigators say thieves have been taking aim at sport bikes left in the open at local condo and apartment complexes.

Lee County deputies say they've had 4 stolen motorcycles reported in the past week - all from the areas by Equestrian Circle and Brantley Road.

"I have the alarm and everything so I wasn't expecting too much. And then next thing you know its gone," said Jeremiah Lambert.

Fort Myers police officers say they've also had 5 similar motorcycles stolen from Cedar Bend apartments in the past month.

Both areas are only miles apart from eachother.

The thieves stealing bikes similar to a Kawasaki ZX10R, Suzuki GSX 600, and Suzuki GSXR 750.

Some of the bikes are estimated to cost upwards of $25,000.
