NAPLES, FL - Rudi Dekkers says, "The head of the snake has been cut off but the tail remains." Dekkers, a former flight instructor and aviation business owner has lived under the shadow of the 9/11 tragedy and Osama Bin Laden. Dekkers was thrust into the world spotlight in 2001 after it was learned that suicide pilot Muhammad Atta and a second terrorist trained to fly at Dekkers flight school in Venice. "They trained for 6 months", says Dekkers. After the tragedy of 9/11 Dekkers says he lost everything. His flight school closed, he sold his planes and was nearly bankrupt. As his assets diminished, his distain for Osama Bin Laden grew. Knowing the pain Bin Laden caused so many, Dekkers says, "If I saw him in front of me, I'd cut him to pieces myself." Dekkers says he is overjoyed to hear that finally, Bin Laden is gone. But there is still one more twist, Dekkers penned a book about his experiences called, GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION. The press release for the book was supposed to go out on Monday morning. But once again, Bin Laden stole the media spotlight.
