LEE COUNTY, Fla.- Officers with the Fort Myers Police Department were patrolling in the area of Edison Avenue and Central Avenue when they observed a Cadillac at the intersection Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Upon the presence of police the front passenger slouched down in the seat and the driver began turning at every street corner until turning into the visitor parking lot at FMPD.

Officers made contact with them and the two appeared nervous while speaking to them. Initially, one provided a false name and when asked if there were drugs or weapons in the car they did not respond.

After further investigation police located 30-40 pieces of crack cocaine with a total package weight of 5.8 grams. Police arrested Leonard Hamilton, 18, of Fort Myers for possession of cocaine with intent to sell and Jaswandee McCoy, 19, for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license.
