FORT MYERS, Fla. - Last minute tax filers rushed to get their tax returns in the mail by Monday's midnight deadline.
Procrastinators had three extra days to file their returns this year. A holiday in Washington, DC on Friday delayed the deadline for the entire country until April 18.
Late filers had limited options to mail their returns in southwest Florida. Only the mail distribution center in central Lee County was available to accept returns until midnight.
