NORTH FORT MYERS- A North Fort Myers pastor is frustrated with thieves stealing his church's air conditioning units- and it's not the first time.

It only takes air conditioning repair man Paul Nuniz one look at the shell of this stripped unit, to know something about who did it.

"Let's say, it wasn't an air conditioning guy."

That because, he says,  rather than take apart the four thousand dollar unit,  someone cut into it, destroying it- for just a few bucks of copper.

"I'm told that they are dealing with less than 25 dollars."

Pastor Foster Gillon says the church has been targeted 3 times in the last year.

"We are having them replaced, and a lot of it's by faith believing that the people are going to be blessed so they can give enough to take care of this when it's all done."

For now, the halls, sanctuary, and offices are without air including Pastor Gillon's.
He's looking at the bright side.

"I come out with hot sermons."

Just in case the thieves aren't looking to give up their lives of sin, the church is planning on caging the units.

"We're putting sensors up and sirens and lights, so if someone comes near it at least they'll have light to work by."
