A musician from North Port and his friend may just be selling you your next cup of coffee. Steel Drum player John Patti from North Port and his guitar playing friend John Reno went out on a limb and decided that they wanted to take a stab at cutting a jingle for a contest that Foldgers Coffee was holding. "I saw a commercial for Folgers and it said something to the effect of hey America, become the next jingle star write the next jingle for Folgers Coffee" Said Reno.

So the pair sat down and penned a jingle with an island sound to it and submitted it to the coffee giant. Now the pair has been named as one of the top ten finalists in the competition and they are percolating with excitement. :"it was fantastic there were some high fives and knuckle bumps going on there" Said Patti. The contest is driven by visitors who vote for their favorite jingle, so the johns are hoping to get a little support from their Southwest Florida Neighbors to help them with a chance to win the $25,000 dollar grand prize.
