COLLIER COUNTY, FL - Members of the Collier county Libertarian party and the Tea party stood at the corner of Pine Ridge Road and US 41 this evening waving signs and voicing slogans against the cameras. Some protesters say the cameras violate citizens civil rights by invading their privacy. Others say the cameras are nothing more than a revenue stream for big government.

Collier county commissioners disagree saying the cameras have helped stopped red light runners, making the streets safer.

While those in attendance today know that one protest will not bring  immediate change, they say they are hoping to raise awareness so that some day soon the cameras will come down.
