FORT MYERS, Fla.- Jaleesa Gonzalez' father says she was a fun-loving four year old who liked to play outside and hunt for bugs.

That's what she was doing minutes before a family friend accidentally ran her over while he was backing out of her driveway.

She was also making a memorial for her grandfather who died a month ago. She placed two sticks together to form a cross. FIve minutes later, she was killed just feet away.

Her father Roberto Gonzalez says he has a message to parents; cherish every moment you have with your kids because anything can happen.

The family friend, Damon Drouin, was arrested because he was driving on a suspended license for the fourth time. But the family tells WINK News they are planning on bailing him out. They say Drouin was just as devastated as they were.

Deputies say Drouin was working on Gonzalez' uncle's car stereo when he went to move it to another part of the yard. No one saw the four year old run in the path of the truck.

The family is also having trouble paying for funeral expenses. If you'd like to donate, you can head to any SunTrust location and ask to donate to the Jaleesa Gonzalez fund.
