LEHIGH ACRES, FL- A Lehigh acres man holds two teens at gunpoint after he catches them stealing from him!
John Middleton says, "If you're brave enough to come in someone's yard, you're brave enough to get shot I guess."
The Lehigh homeowner says he was watching TV when his girlfriend ran in and told him two teen boys had stolen his chain saw.
"I knew I was going to get whatever they stole."
Reporter Sarah Pusateri says, "Middleton says his adrenaline was pumping, he didn't think twice about getting into his car and chasing after the thieves."
The boys ran through the woods, but it wasn't long before middleton caught one.
"I told him I said, I have a gun pointed at you, you need to come out, you were at my house stealing my stuff."
A neighbor called 911.
Deputies say moments later, the second teen came out and gave back the stolen chain saw.
"They told the cops they stole before and they'll steal again."
Most likely not from Middleton who put up surveillance cameras on his home this afternoon.
"They won't steal from me again. Would you steal from me? I wouldn't steal from me."
