CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla.- Charlotte County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit detectives and road deputies made six arrests Thursday in four separate drug related incidents.
Shaun Keith Freeman, 33, was arrested for trafficking in Oxycodone pills after a deputy was conducting patrol in the area of the Shell gas station at 3196 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, after information was received that there was possible drug activity in the bathrooms. Freeman was seen going into the bathroom. A Street Crimes Unit officer arrived and waited for Freeman to come out. A search of Freeman located 81 Oxycodone capsules and a hypodermic needle in his pockets. Freeman was charged with Drug Trafficking in Oxycodone, Possession of Oxycodone and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Freeman remains in jail on no bond.
Narcotics Unit detectives made two separate undercover arrests Thursday, both in a Peace River Regional Medical Center hospital parking lot. Arrested at 12:55 p.m. was Shawn Keith Todd, 36, of Port Charlotte, for selling 10 Morphine pills. At 2:17 p.m. detectives arrested Howard Constantine Bernard, 55, of Port Charlotte, for selling 20 Morphine pills. Both were charged with Sale and Delivery of Morphine, and Possession of Morphine. Bernard, a convicted felon, remains in jail on no bond; Todd posted a $7,500 bond.
The Narcotics Unit also raided a home in the Cleveland-area at 5717 Beechwood Street following a drug investigation and arrested three people. Items seized were marijuana, rolling papers, a glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue, and two cut straws with opiate residue. Arrested were Randy Allen StLouis, 40, and his girlfriend Samantha Gail Paramore, 27, and 57-year-old Gary M. Lomberto. StLouis and Paramore were both charged with Possession of Opiates and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lomberto was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Lomberto remains in jail on $2,000 bond; StLouis and Paramore are both convicted felons and have not posted $3,500 bond each.
