LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A woman says her neighbor unleashed his dog on her in an attempt to kill her following a dispute about the dog getting loose in the neighborhood.

Carlie Cargile, 47, is recovering at her home near the intersection of 7th Street and Lily Road.

Cargile sustained injuries to her left arm, foot, side and back.

"What do you say to someone who sicks their dog on children and people," said Cargile.

This is the 2nd recorded attack by this pitbull, named Mighty, according to Lee County Animal Control.

The mother of 1 says her neighbor, Robert Barney, 19, unleashed the dog following a dispute about Mighty getting loose.

The owner of the dog was not home when WINK news stopped by but does have a criminal record including burglary and battery charges.

To get the dog back he'd have to pay thousands of dollars in fines and create a caged area for the dog, if not Animal Control will have to euthanize the dog.
