LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- As part of the widening of Daniels Parkway, Chamberlin Parkway in Lee County is closed.

The closure began Monday, February 21, 2011 and is expected to be in place for approximately six months.

Drivers will be detoured to Paul J. Doherty Parkway to access the Skyplex Commercial Center.

Daniels Parkway will be widened from four lanes to six lanes from Chamberlin Parkway to Gateway Blvd.

The majority of the work along Daniels Parkway will take place within the median.

The project will also include the milling and resurfacing of Daniels Parkway from Treeline Avenue to Fuel Farm Road.

The project is expected to be completed in February 2012.

Occasional lane closures on Daniels Parkway may occur during the overnight/nighttime hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The contractor will maintain four lanes of traffic on Daniels Parkway during daytime hours.
