BONITA SPRINGS, FL - The Lee County Sheriff's office says, 38 year old Melissa Graham went to dinner with her 12 year old daughter at Bonefish Grill. The daughter tells officials her mother ordered dinner with a bottle of wine. After several glasses the child says her mother started acting erratic. According to the Sheriff's report, Graham began arguing and yelling at the child. Then, suddenly, she left the restaurant. The child says she believed her mother was going to return but when she didn't, the child went to the hostess stand to notify management. Employees found the mother in the parking lot, in her car, allegedly telling them she left her credit card in the eatery to pay the bill. The woman reportedly drove off a short time later, without her daughter. The Sheriff's office was called deputies responded notifying D-C-F of the abandoned child. A short time later, deputies say they received a 9-1-1 call, allegedly from Graham, that her daughter had been "abducted" during dinner by two males who made off in a cream colored vehicle. Sheriff's spokesperson John Sheehan says deputies put two and two together and arrested Graham for filing a false report and contributing to the delinquency of a child. The child is in D-C-F care.
