NAPLES- The Naples Police Department received a call about a possible marijuana grow house operation on Tuesday at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The caller, a maintenance worker, told police that he had observed a marijuana growing operation inside of an apartment that he was doing an inspection at  an apartment at the 1500 block of Curlew Avenue.

Narcotics detectives from the Naples Police Department responded and interviewed the maintenance worker to gather additional information.

Detectives then responded to the apartment where they spoke to the resident identified as Stephen Denis Vanalphen, 43. Mr. Vanalphen admitted to growing the marijuana in his apartment.

There were a total of 14 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and a lighting and hydration system in place.
