FORT MYERS, Fla.- The teen accused of shooting his 15 year-old girlfriend, Ashlee Swazey to death, is out of jail.
He asked a judge to reduce his bond in a Lee County court yesterday. It was at $250,000. The judge reduced it to $75,000. He posted it within hours.
Swazey's parents tell WINK News they are not prepared to see him out in the community. They say it's unfair that he can be with his family while they are still struggling with grief over their daughter's death.
The shooting happened at Wisniewski's home last September. He told police he was messing with a gun when it went off, killing Swazey. He says he didn't know the gun was loaded.
Wisniewski's next court date is in March.
