BONITA SPRINGS, Fla.-Hundreds of Southwest Florida residents are smiling a little brighter tonight. Saturday, Bonita Dental Care offered free basic dental services to people who otherwise can't afford it.
"I don't have insurance and I can't afford it right now," said Kelly Bone, who got her teeth cleaned this afternoon.
Bone is self-employed as a pain management specialist.
"I'm kinda new at it so things are just getting going. The economy has been a little off, so things are not going as well as planned," she said.
The dentist office offered teeth extractions, fillings, and cleanings to anyone who walked through their doors.
Doctor Fred Eck says there is a big need in our area for free dental services.
"Bigger than most people think. It's pretty significant," explained Dr.Eck.
Doctor Eck and his team treated over a hundred people today.
