MIAMI- Authorities have arrested a South Florida man accused of shooting and wounding five people in December.
U.S. Marshals and Miami Gardens police detectives arrested 23-year-old Joshua Ezra Everett on Friday at a Miami-Dade commuter train station. Everett has been charged with five counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of attempted second-degree murder.
The Marshals Service reports that Everett got into an argument with a group of men outside his home, shortly after midnight Dec. 26. Authorities say he went into his home, grabbed an AR-15 rifle and opened fire on the group. Police say Everett wounded five people and hit a passing vehicle occupied by a woman and her 2-year-old son.
Based on witness statements, authorities issued a warrant for Everett's arrest last week.
