MIAMI (AP) - A former Roman Catholic Priest who left the church to marry his girlfriend after the two were photographed embracing on a South Florida beach is getting a new TV show.

Alberto Cutie announced Tuesday he will host the talk show "Father Albert" on FOX Television stations. A FOX spokeswoman says the show will be aired later this year in various cities including New York and Los Angeles. It will be picked up nationwide if it is popular.

The daily show will feature the priest, who was ordained last year in the Episcopal Church. In December, he and his wife welcomed their first child.

Fox Television Stations and Debmar-Mercury are co-producing the show. Cutie previously hosted a show on the Spanish-language Telemundo Network, which led to the nickname of "Father Oprah."
