JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville woman has been convicted in the death of her boyfriend, who died in a botched robbery the woman helped plan.

A Duval County jury found 29-year-old Shaketa Jones guilty Friday of second-degree murder and robbery. Her boyfriend, 28-year-old Jessie N. Cooper, was fatally shot by police during the armed robbery of a gas station in May 2010.

Prosectors say Jones planned the robbery and served as a lookout. Phone records showed that she was on a call with Cooper during the robbery.

Jones testified that she was having phone sex with her boyfriend and didn't know anything about the robbery. Jurors were apparently unconvinced and returned a guilty verdict after just 10 minutes or deliberations.

Jones faces life in prison at her March sentencing.
