FORT MYERS-- Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying a woman who used a stolen credit card to charge up thousands of dollars at two stores within just a few hours time.
On October 15th, the victim went shopping at the Home Goods store at 71911 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers. As she returned to her vehicle with her cart, she removed her purchases and forgot that her wallet was lying in the seat underneath the bags. Shortly after returning home, the victim realized her mistake and contacted her credit card companies. She then learned that her two credit cards had been immediately used at two nearby stores, where an unknown female made four consecutive purchases at the Target store located at 13711 S. Tamiami Trail, totaling $2,501.97, and one additional purchase at Game Stop for $402.
Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspect, and detectives are now hoping someone will recognize this suspect and call Crime Stoppers with any information they may have on her identity. The Crime Stoppers hotline number is 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
