COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - A sunken car is pulled out of a canal, but no one is inside. Now, deputies want to find the driver.

It happened on San Marco Road, about a mile past the Goodland bridge, headed towards US 41. A call came shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday from a driver that says they saw a person leaving the area, possibly from the sunken car.

When deputies got on scene they noticed fresh skid marks on the ground and brought out the dive team. Drivers weren't able to find anyone in or around the car, but say the driver side door was open. The black Nissan Pathfinder was towed out and has Lee County plates.
