Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the person who brutally attacked an Englewood business man earlier this week.

On Wednesday afternoon, 64 year old Jeffrey Mazur, the owner of Antiques Plus, was found lying in a pool of blood inside his North Access Road store. Mazur's wife had called her husband that afternoon, however no one answered the phone. In concern for his safety, she stopped by the store, only to find the front door locked and her husband inside, lying in a pool of blood. Mazur suffered severe injuries and was immediately transported via Med Flight to Lee Memorial Hospital's Trauma Center in Fort Myers. Mazur is still hospitalized this morning, trying to recuperate from the extensive head injuries suffered during the attack.

Detectives with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office are looking for any information on anyone who may have been seen in or around Antiques Plus on Wednesday afternoon. The store is located on North Access Road in Englewood, just off State Road 776, near Spinnaker Boulevard and Englewood's popular Tringali Community Center. Due to the brutal nature of the attack, for which there is no apparent motive at this point, detectives are asking for any small piece of information that may lead to the identification of Mazur's attacker.

A cash reward from Crime Stoppers will be awarded to anyone who can provide information leading to the identification and arrest of this unknown suspect. All callers will remain anonymous. The Crime Stoppers hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even through the upcoming holiday weekend. Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org.
