TALLAHASSEE, Fla - Florida has seen five straight months of job growth, albeit the growth is slow.

Only 300 jobs were added in November, but it’s better than the alternative.  In fact the growth is so slow it’s done nothing to bring the unemployment rate down.

The unemployment rate is up slightly to 12 percent, but Agency for Workforce Innovation Chief Economist Rebecca Rust says the job market is starting to stabilize.

“When you really look over the last few months probably the last four months we can say we’ve been very stable, almost flat over the changes over the month.  They have not been considered statistically significant, so there has been very little change.”

There are also more than 200-thousand jobs posted in the state’s job bank.  For more information got to www.employflorida.com
