LEHIGH ACRES, FL- A thief steals Christmas gifts from right under the tree.
Now, a Lehigh couple says they have nothing to give their children.
"I can't tell you how I feel right now, I don't know how to explain it to you."
You don't have to see this father of two's face to understand he's upset.
"I'm waiting for the next thing, you know how they say you get one thing bad and another thing bad and just a third thing bad, it feels awful."
First he says, he was just laid off from work last week. then, yesterday someone broke into his home, stealing gifts for his family and much more.
"Both TVs were gone, the IPAD, the play station 3, all the games, the WII..all the gifts."
He says he left his home for about two hours to apply for a job.
Reporter Sarah Pusateri says, "The victim says he immediately knew something was wrong when he got home with his children and noticed the front door, wide open."
He noticed his daughter's window was smashed, the presents in the closet and the wrapped gifts under the tree were gone. So were his daughter's birthday presents she was given last week, and that's not all.
He says, "And her piggy bank."
Now dad who hasn't yet told his 5 and 7 year old about losing his job, doesn't know what he'll tell them on Christmas day.
"Santa doesn't get robbed."
He just hope the Grinch responsible gets caught.
