As the cold weather forecast extends to the evening of Tuesday, December 14, 2010, Lee County Public Schools is adjusting its outdoor activity schedules accordingly.
· Any practices or other outdoor activities (athletic, band, clubs, etc.) that are scheduled for after-school hours Tuesday, December 14, 2010 will go on as planned until 4:30 p.m. After 4:30 p.m. any related activities (i.e. coach/player meetings, etc.) will be moved indoors as appropriate.
· All outdoor competitions or games scheduled for the evening of Tuesday, December 14, 2010 (after 4:30 p.m.) will be canceled and rescheduled. Any activities that were already scheduled indoors (i.e. wrestling, volleyball, clubs, etc.) this evening will go on as planned.
As the forecast for Wednesday, December 15, 2010 is for warmer temperatures, the District anticipates returning to normal after-school practice and activity schedules.
As always, students and parents are urged to contact their school directly for additional information on what may or may not be affected by the expected cold temperatures.
