RUSKIN, Fla. - The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for Monday morning that includes much of Southwest Florida.
Strong arctic high pressure will build into the area behind a cold front that exits to the south tonight. Strong winds will bring very cold air into the region and cause below freezing wind chill values early Monday morning.
Gusty northwesterly winds will combine with cold temperatures to result in wind chill values between 28 and 35 across the much of the region late tonight into Monday morning.
A wind chill advisory is issued when wind chill index values drop to 35 or lower.
