LEE COUNTY, Fla.- A Fort Myers man accused of abducting his son is the newest addition to Southwest Florida's Most Wanted list. Neil Little faces several charges for taking his 11-year old son Everett nearly two months ago.

"I'm just taking things day by day, that's all I can do. I just hope every day will be the day that he comes home," Everett's mother, Shannon Little said Thursday.

The Villas Elementary student has been missing for nearly two months. Shannon's ex-husband, Neil Little, was supposed to return now 11-year old Everett on October 10th, as part of a shared custody agreement. Neil Little never showed, and has cut off all communication between Everett and his mother.

"He missed Halloween, Thanksgiving, his birthday. I'm just hoping he's home in plenty of time for Christmas," Shannon Little said.

46-year old Neil Little now faces multiple charges, including a felony count stemming from the parental abduction. But investigators say the case is at a standstill. They're now adding Neil Little to Southwest Florida's Top-Ten Most Wanted list, hoping the the added publicity help the case move forward.

"If it's going to help bring Everett home, then it's fine with me. Getting Everett home is my only concern," Shannon Little said.

Everett and his father were believed to be in Alabama at one point, but investigators say they having trouble tracing where the two are hiding out. Neil Little is now believed to be in extremely poor health, stemming from a long battle with cancer.

"I don't know that Neil can take care of himself, let alone an 11-year old boy," Shannon Little said.

Neil Little was last known to be driving a green 1997 Chevy Tahoe, with Florida tag 111 YVI.
