COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. - Just hours ago, the first lawsuit surrounding the gas explosion was filed at the Lee County Courthouse. A Naples pizzeria is looking to get some dough from Teco, People's Gas and Posen Construction for income lost during the gas outage.

In all Lucarelli's Pizza & Deli is hoping to recoup $15,000 in lost income and costs to buy grills and propane tanks during the five day outage.

Owner, Jack Lucarelli tell WINK News he tried to file a claim with his insurance, but was denied because the explosion didn't happen at the site of his restaurant.

This could become a class action lawsuit if other businesses throughout Lee and Collier County decide to do the same. The attorneys on this case are waiting for the Lee County court to approve and certify for class action. Click here for more information.
