FORT MYERS, Fla.-- A last-minute donation makes a Thanksgiving meal possible for hundreds of local families.

Tuesday, more than 400 turkeys were delivered to the Harry Chapin Food Bank in Fort Myers thanks to an eleventh-hour donation from a Bonita Springs concrete company, Curb Systems of Southwest Florida.

The food bank had hoped to collect 5,000 turkeys, but three weeks ago, it was still well short of it's goal.

So the community stepped up.

Now, about 4,800 families will enjoy a turkey dinner with all the fixings on Thursday.

A large portion of the turkeys came thanks to a donation from Norman Love Confections.

The chocolate maker raised about $24,000 after learning about the growing need.
