FORT MYERS, Fla. - Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Fort Myers Police Department received a call in reference to gunshots heard in the area of 2081 Fountain Street, near Martin Luther King Blvd.

Upon arrival, police located a female victim suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound. She was transported to Lee Memorial Hospital. According to the victim she met a male acquaintance at the address. He was accompanied by one possibly two other males. At some point there was an altercation and she was shot. The male suspects fled the scene. Officers setup a perimeter utilizing K9 and conducted a track but did not locate the suspects.
