FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. - Competitors at the 24th Annual American Sand Sculpting championships are hard at work trying to make beautiful works of art along our beaches.

16 competitors from around the world are showing off their sand sculpting skills this weekend.

They've made works of art across the globe, but they say Fort Myers has some of the best sand they've ever used because it's soft and acts like clay when wet.

The event is expected to draw about 50,000 spectators to the beach this weekend.

A winner will be named Sunday.
