FORT MYERS, Fla. - Norman and Mary Love want to help provide Thanksgiving turkeys and hams for local families in need.

With each $11 donation made to Harry Chapin Food Bank made at The Chocolate Salon through Friday, Nov. 19, donors will receive a free box of Norman Love Confections ultra-premium chocolates valued at $13. To donate at NLC, customers need only notify the cashier they are interested in giving to Harry Chapin.

"Norman and I were watching the news and learned that Harry Chapin was in need of more than 4,000 Thanksgiving turkeys and hams," said Mary. "We knew we had to act and are hoping to help the food bank fill their freezers in time to assist those in need for the holidays."

A check on behalf of Southwest Florida residents and Norman Love Confections will be presented to the food bank Monday, Nov. 22.

Harry Chapin Food Bank, a local nonprofit organization serving Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties, is experiencing a severe shortage of turkeys for its Thanksgiving outreach program. For only $11, the organization can purchase a turkey or ham for a local family in need. To make a donation, visit Norman Love Confections or call Harry Chapin at 239-334-7007.
