FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) - Rick Scott is giving his first press conference as governor-elect.
The Republican plans to announce his transition team and take questions from the media Thursday morning in Fort Lauderdale.
The press conference comes after a campaign at times marked by tension between Scott and the media. He eschewed meetings with newspaper editorial boards and grew testy over questions about legal issues at businesses he's been involved with.
Scott sealed a razor-thin win over Democrat Alex Sink on Wednesday.
