CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. - Charlotte County Sheriff’s undercover Narcotics Unit detectives this morning arrested Treshunda Laverne Platt, 34, Charlotte Harbor. An undercover detective was approached by Platt at Bayshore Park; she lives near the park. She asked the detective what he needed; he told her Crack Cocaine. He told her he didn’t have any money but would be back with $100. Upon return, Platt got into the undercover car and she told him to drive to 650 Cooper St., in Punta Gorda.

Once there, Platt took the money, got out, and walked to a home on Ida Street. She returned, gave undercover detective the Crack Cocaine, then walked away. The exchange was within 1,000 feet of a child care facility, a recreation center and a church.

Narcotics Unit members moved in and arrested Platt. She was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and charged with Sale and Delivery of Crack Cocaine Within 1,000 Feet of a Child Care Facility, Possession of Crack Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Platt was additionally charged with Violation of Probation as she is currently on conditional release supervision from the Florida Department of Corrections until Nov. 30, 2010 for Robbery and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon; she is a convicted felon. Platt is being held on no bond.
