FORT MYERS, Fla. - An 81 year old man is behind bars, accused of trying to abduct two underage girls as they were walking home from their school bus stops in Fort Myers.

The girls told police, the man was aggressive and demanded they get in his truck.

A 14 year old girl we are not identifying says, "He was like get in the car, and I was like "no" and he was like "get in the car! "

She had just gotten off the school bus, when she says 81 year old Edward Peters pulled up beside her in his car.

The girls says, "He was like, did I need a ride?"

The girl says she told him "no." That's when police say he got aggressive with her, demanding she get in his car.

The girl says, "He was really old and wrinkly and he had a bandage, like he just got blood drawn from his arm, he was nasty."

She ran home and told her mother, and the two began to look for Peters.

The girls mother says, "We can't let him get away, that was my first reaction."

Meanwhile, the teen took pictures of Peters' vehicle.

The mom says, "We were following him and he picked up ,attempted to pick up another girl getting off the bus at another stop"

The mother of the other girl tells us her 17-year-old ignored Peters and continued to walk.

"It shook her up because you know, a perverts around here trying to get her in his car."

The first girl and her mom chased Peters and caught him!  They confronted him.

"I Better not ever catch you near my daughter ever!"

Then they called police, and Peters was arrested.

During first appearance the judge asked Peters, "Sir are you going to hire an attorney?."
He responded, " I don't know I have to call my wife."

Peters also denied the allegations.

"Sir, you can not have any contact with any contact with any children unless you're lawfully able to do so."

Peters responded, "I never did!"

The mothers are just happy their children are safe with Peters behind bars.
