LEE COUNTY, Fla. - At a time when most school systems are scaling back, Lee County teachers and support staff are getting raises.
Lee County teachers recently received a one-percent bump in salary, along with a promised January bonus.
Tuesday, the district's support staff is up for a raise.
The school board is expected to approve a two-percent increase in pay for Lee County custodians, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers.
