CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The Cape Coral Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating two suspects who stole the wallet of a 79-year-old woman and used her credit card to rack up more than $4,000 in charges.
On October 15 at 3 p.m., the elderly woman was shopping at TJ Maxx when her wallet, containing several credit cards, was stolen from her purse. Within a 30-minute period, the suspects used the cards at two Target stores in Cape Coral, purchasing two iPads and various other items. The total charges exceeded $4,000.
Video surveillance from the Target stores captured clear images of the suspects, one male and one female. The male is described as white or Hispanic, about 20 – 30 years old with dark brown hair. The female is white or Hispanic, about 18 – 30 years of age, slim build with long, brown hair.
Anyone who has information on the identity and/or location of these two suspects is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS or the Cape Coral Police Department at 574-3223. A call to Crime Stoppers that leads to the arrest of a suspect may provide the caller with a cash reward up to $1,000.
