TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A judge has refused to dismiss charges against former Florida House Speaker Ray Sansom and two co-defendants who had accused a prosecutor of misconduct.

Circuit Judge Terry Lewis on Tuesday also declined to remove State Attorney Willie Meggs from the case but did reprimand him for making inflammatory public statements and sarcastic comments to a grand jury.

Sansom, a Destin Republican, is facing grand theft and other charges for allegedly slipping a $6 million appropriation into the state budget to build an airport hangar for use by a political supporter.

The money was allocated to Northwest Florida State College for what was listed as a joint use emergency management facility. The school later gave Sansom a $110,000 job.
