AMELIA, La. (AP) - Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal hit and run accident that claimed the life of a Florida man.

The accident happened at 4:16 a.m. Monday on La. Highway 182 in Amelia.

Troopers say a car ran off the road and struck 29-year-old Weston Grove of Jacksonville, Fla.

Authorities say Groves was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Mary Parish Coroner's Office.
