OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (AP) - Three teens were taken into custody after allegedly striking a Boca Raton police officer with a car.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office says a 15-year-old driver hit the officer Wednesday evening and then fled the scene.

Deputies deployed stop sticks to disable the Pontiac G6's tires. The suspects eventually lost control of the vehicle and struck a deputy's patrol car.

Authorities say the teens, ages 15 to 16, were taken into custody. Their names have not been released.
