ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Central Florida authorities are investigating the death of a 14-year-old girl who they say may have died from a prescription pill overdose.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office has not identified the girl. She was dropped off at Florida Hospital East on Oct. 1.

A spokeswoman with the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner's Office said Thursday that pathologists completed the girl's autopsy, but the results from the toxicology tests are pending. Her cause of death has not been released.
