BRUNSWICK, Ga. (AP) - Coast Guard officials have rescued two people and a dog from their sinking shrimp boat.

The Jacksonville, Fla. couple, were fishing Friday when their net got caught in the boat's propellor. When Gary Jones tried to drop the anchor the ship ran aground near the jetties in Altamaha Sound and started taking on water.

A Good Samaritan called authorities Friday night and a Coast Guard helicopter was on scene about an hour later.
