THE VILLAGES, Fla. (AP) - A gubernatorial hopeful and a possible presidential candidate are joining forces in central Florida.

Republican Rick Scott is being joined on the campaign trail by former - and possibly future - presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

They're appearing Friday afternoon in The Villages, a huge retirement community that is a favorite stop of Republican candidates.

Scott faces Democrat Alex Sink in the November election.
