NAVARRE, Fla. (AP) - A Florida Panhandle deputy was recovering after flipping his patrol car while responding to a call.

The Florida Highway Patrol reports that Santa Rosa County Deputy Brad Baney was headed to an armed disturbance Sunday night when he hydroplaned and overturned. The car hit a small palm tree and rolled twice.

Baney suffered head injuries but was conscious when rescue workers arrived.

The cruiser was totaled.

The deputy was wearing a seat belt.

No charged were filed by FHP.
