MIAMI (AP) - A new poll gives Republican Marco Rubio a sizable lead in his race for the Senate.
The latest Mason-Dixon poll gives the former Florida House speaker 40 percent support, compared with 28 percent for independent Gov. Charlie Crist and 23 percent for Democratic Rep.
Kendrick Meek.
The poll shows Rubio gaining among independent voters who are deserting Crist.
Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker says "Crist is bleeding Democrats to Meek and independents to both Meek and Rubio."
The survey included 625 likely voters. It has a margin of error of 4 percentage points.
