JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - An elderly couple died when their Jacksonville home was engulfed with flames.

Jacksonville Fire and Rescue reports that smoke and flames were already pouring out the front and side windows when firefighters responded to the home Monday afternoon.

The house did not appear to have any working smoke detectors.

The structure and everything inside was destroyed.

Authorities were not immediately releasing the names of the victims.

The cause of the fire had not yet been determined.
