LEE COUNTY, Fla -  Doctor Jim Browder, Superintendent of Lee County Public Schools, is being considered for a new job.

Dr. Kenneth Walker, longtime President of Edison State College has been talking to Dr. Browder about heading up the school's Edison Education System.  A school that will eventually train students from kindergarten through college.

Edison State College already has 2 high schools in addition to its college degree programs.  The school plans to open a K-8th grade school next year.  They need an administrator to run the system and Edison spokesperson, Catherine Bergeson says, Dr. Browder expressed an interest in the position.

Formal interviews have not taken place.

Dr. Browder says he is looking forward to collecting more information about the position.
