TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - A baby died at a Tallahassee hospital after being left in a hot vehicle for at least two hours last week.
Tallahassee police say 6-month-old Zariah was pronounced dead Tuesday morning after tests showed there was no brain activity.
Police say the girl's mother, 25-year-old Monique Adina Andre, left the baby inside a vehicle in a parking lot of a friend's apartment Thursday. The child's father noticed her limp body and green mucus coming from her mother later that evening. He drove Zariah to the hospital immediately.
Andre was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated manslaughter. She was being held without bail.
